Job Title: X-ray/Rad Tech

Location: San Antonio, TX

Schedule: Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of diagnostic procedures, some of a more complex nature, utilizing state-of-the-art computerized imaging equipment in multiple modalities. • Coordinates and prioritizes procedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity. • Ensures exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked before exams are performed and acts to ensure compliance with Infection Control standards. • Programs computer to ensure completion of exams and all scan data is correctly stored in PACS. • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients, care providers, and other hospital staff. • Adapts patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent. • 1 year of experience in a medical setting required. • Basic computer experience required. • Excellent customer service experience required. • One of the following primary modality registries/certifications (active) is required: Radiography (R) (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) (ARRT or NMTCB), Sonography (S) (ARRT or ARDMS). • State Licensure required based on modality: Texas: MRT by TMB. • BLS required (AHA only).

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Postprimary modality registries/certifications (active) such as Mammography (M) (ARRT), CT (ARRT), MRI (ARRT), Bone Densitometry (BD) (ARRT), Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) (ARRT), Breast Sonography (ARRT), Vascular Sonography (VS) (ARRT). • Experience working with pediatric and routine outpatient x-rays. • Familiarity with CT and routine diagnostic imaging (no fluoro, no OR).
