Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Location Ottawa, IL Schedule / Job Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities • Provide high-quality patient care to women in labor, including managing pain, monitoring fetal heart rates, and supporting the birthing process • Administer medications, including Magnesium, as prescribed by physicians • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients • Perform routine postpartum care, including newborn assessments and discharge planning • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the birthing process Required Qualifications • Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois • ACLS and NRP certifications • BLS certification • 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or a related field Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with computerized charting systems, including Epic • Familiarity with fetal monitoring equipment, including Obix central fetal monitoring • Strong communication and teamwork skills Why Join Us • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals • Collaborative and supportive work environment that prioritizes patient-centered care • Professional development opportunities to advance your skills and career
