Registered Nurse PACU

Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU Location: Hilo, HI Schedule / Job Type: Rotating Key Responsibilities: • Care for patients pre-op, phase I and phase II recovery • Monitor patients after surgery and assess incision sites, body temperature, and other indicators of stability or complications • Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and provide high-quality care • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians Required Qualifications: • 2+ years’ experience as a critical care RN (i.e., ER & ICU) in a hospital setting may be accepted substitute for PACU nurse experience • Valid BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association • Valid professional license within the state of practice • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential from the American Heart Association (recommended and may be required for specific positions) Preferred Experience / Skills: • Experience in post-anesthesia care units • Knowledge of medical equipment such as Meditech, PCA Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, and Cryocuff • Certification in NIHSS and TNCC (preferred)
