Registered Nurse CVICU

Job Title: Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: Greensboro, NC

Schedule: Nights

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to physicians and other team members

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina • BLS certification • ACLS certification • SICU experience preferred • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, and post-cardiac surgery care • Experience with IV insulin protocols, chronic acute renal failure, CVVH CRRT, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care and management, PICC line management, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, assist with management of BiPAP and CPAP, chest tube insertion and removal, care of ventilated patients, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of ABGs, suctioning (ETT, NT), and ventilator management

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pump, sheath removal, transcatheter aortic valve implantation replacement (TAVI/TAVR), and other advanced cardiovascular procedures • Experience with cardiac catheterization and post-cardiac cath intervention • Knowledge of IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
