Registered Nurse Oncology
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology
Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Schedule: Full-time, Days
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality patient care in an oncology setting, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and educating patients and families on treatment options and self-care techniques. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and surgical interventions. • Conduct patient assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes. • Educate patients and families on cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment options, as well as provide emotional support and counseling.
Required Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia • Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification • Chemotherapy certification
Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and infusion therapy • Knowledge of radiation oncology and treatment modalities • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
