Registered Nurse Oncology

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology

Location: Peoria, IL

Schedule: Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including administering chemotherapy, monitoring patient responses, and managing treatment plans. • Coordinate patient care with healthcare providers, including oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals. • Track patient lab results, medication administration, and treatment schedules to ensure timely and effective care. • Educate patients and families on treatment options, side effects, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health outcomes. • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical oncology • ONS or OCN certification preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and oncology-specific software • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
