Registered Nurse Emergency Room
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Location: Tuscaloosa, AL Schedule / Job Type: Nights, Travel
Key Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting • Float to other units and hospitals as needed to support the team • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver comprehensive emergency medical services • Ensure effective communication and handoff of patient information to ensure seamless care
Required Qualifications: • Associate degree in nursing • Current Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS • Current certification in TNCC and SECURE • 2 years of experience in emergency department nursing, with 1 year of experience in the field of specialty
Preferred Experience / Skills: • Experience working in a Level III Trauma Center or Level II Stroke Center • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Meditech • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
