Registered Nurse Emergency Room
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Asheville, NC
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Nights
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess and manage patients with acute and life-threatening conditions • Develop and implement individualized care plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical expertise • Participate in code blue and rapid response team activations as needed
Required Qualifications:
• 2 years’ experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in ER setting • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS • Ability to work in a high-volume ED with over 100,000 visits per year • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with ability to coach and give feedback in real-time
Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Previous experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED • Experience with advanced procedures and equipment, such as baxter pumps and GE monitors • Proficiency in Cerner documentation system • Ability to work flexible schedules, including every other weekend
