Registered Nurse PreOp
Job Title: Registered Nurse - PreOp Location: Grand Junction, CO Schedule: Full-time, Days, On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities: • Provide perioperative patient care, reviewing patient charts to familiarize with orders and updates. • Explain procedures, treatments, and discharge to patients and family members to alleviate apprehension and verify understanding. • Document patient assessments in electronic patient records and nursing care plans. • Administer prescribed medications. • Prepare Pre-Op/PACU areas for needed supplies and equipment. • Maintain awareness of patient safety needs at all times. • Assist with patient transfer of care from the OR.
Required Qualifications: • Basic Life Support • Registered Nurse • Advanced Cardiac Life Support • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred) • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Preferred Experience / Skills: • Minimum 2 years of Pre-Op/PACU experience
