Registered Nurse ICU

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Kansas City, MO

Schedule: Nights

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment • Interpret and manage complex dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failures, and other critical conditions • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans • Administer medications, including IV insulin protocols and blood products, as well as manage IV lines and central lines • Perform various procedures, such as sheath removal, port access, and arterial line management • Monitor and manage ventilator settings, including BiPAP and CPAP, and assist with chest tube insertion and removal • Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions, as well as use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed • Provide education and support to patients and families, as well as contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification • Experience working in an ICU or similar setting • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with CRRT and CVVHD/CRRT management • Knowledge of pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring and sheath removal • Experience with procedural sedation administration and titration of cardiac drips and vasoactive drips • Familiarity with high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and ventilator management
