Registered Nurse CVICU

Job Title: Registered Nurse - CVICU Bloomington, IN

Schedule: Nights

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery, CABG, TAVI/TAVR; Arterial line management, blood production administration, central line care/management, PICC line management; titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips. • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill cardiovascular patients, including those undergoing CV surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiology, endocrine, and oncology procedures. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. • Manage ventilated patients, ventilator settings, and weaning processes to promote patient independence and comfort.

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of Indiana • ACLS and BCLS certifications required; NIH certification preferred • 18 months of experience in a critical care or cardiovascular unit, or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous charge experience in a CVICU or similar unit • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Sheath Removal, Ventricular Assist devices (LVAD/RVAD/Impella) management experience • Care of ventilated patients, ventilator management, and weaning processes
