Registered Nurse Emergency Room
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Mids
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and analyze data to ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as needed • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system to document patient information and communicate with healthcare teams
Required Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in a main emergency room or designated trauma facility • Current Paramedic License/Certification • Experienced with running lab equipment, including but not limited to: • Lucas Device • Nurse run Lab • Ventilator • CPAP/BiPap • Blanketrol • Lifepack 15 • Current certification in: • BLS • ACLS • TNCC • ENPC • NRP
Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Experience working in a Freestanding ER • Experience with running lab equipment (Picolo, Istat, Triage Meter, ID Now, Clinitek) • Knowledge of procedures such as: • Chest Tubes Placement • Intubations • Conscious sedations • Wound repair • Splinting using Orthoglass • Nebulizer treatment • Ventilator management
