Key Responsibilities • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities • Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement treatments to promote health and well-being • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes • Administer medications, perform vital signs, and monitor patient conditions as needed • Educate patients and families on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle habits
Required Qualifications • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of AL • Experience working in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities preferred • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Basic life support certification (BLS) required
Preferred Experience / Skills • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology • Knowledge of gerontological nursing principles and practices • Certification in gerontology or a related field (e.g. C GN, CPHS) an asset
