Job Title: Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Location: State College, PA

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs analyses on blood and other body fluids for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease • Maintains proficiency to work in all clinical departments of the laboratory • Prepares specimens for processing by accurately identifying and logging patient information • Processes and begins analysis of all specimens by manual or automated methods to determine qualitative or quantitative results • Assures quality control criteria are met before releasing reports and repeats procedures as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience • Certified MT with ASCP, AMT, NCCLS or equivalent certification • Certified MLS with ASCP, AMT, NCCLS or equivalent certification

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in Microbiology • Familiarity with principles of laboratory procedures and instruments • Strong communication and teamwork skills
