Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist / Clinical Lab Scientist
Location: State College, PA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform analyses on blood and other body fluids for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
• Prepare specimens, ensuring proper identification, logging, and testing as ordered.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to generate qualitative and quantitative results.
• Maintain quality control standards and ensure accurate, timely reporting of results.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with instruments and procedures, performing routine maintenance.
• Assist with training technical staff and participate in quality assurance and proficiency testing activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) with certification from ASCP, AMT, NCCLS, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety procedures, and quality control protocols.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Strong communication skills and effective teamwork abilities.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not required.
• Experience with specimen collection and handling.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and workflow optimization.
