Key Responsibilities
- Provide hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments to acutely ill patients.
- Monitor patients with end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, metabolic imbalances, and other critical conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care in a 24/7 dialysis department.
- Perform treatments in patient rooms for hemodynamically unstable patients and those on telemetry.
- Support department operations across multiple campuses, including float responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and procedural protocols, including passing required exams.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience with hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, or apheresis treatments preferred.
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays, with flexibility for assigned shifts.
- Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and critical care nursing.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in renal or critical care nursing settings.
- Experience with dialysis equipment such as Baxter Amia PD devices, Spectra Optia Apheresis Devices.
- Ability to perform treatments in various patient care environments, including ICU settings.
