Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to acute and critically ill patients in a busy ER setting
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer treatments, and document care accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Perform EKG assessments and respond to rapid patient condition changes
- Manage a diverse elderly patient population with complex medical needs in a cardio-focused hospital
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- CPR and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC or TNS certifications
- Epic electronic health record system experience
- Minimum of 2 years ER experience
- Ability to pass an EKG test on the first day
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a cardio-centric hospital environment with elderly patients
- Flexibility to float within service line and to multiple locations including Evanston, Glenbrook, and Skokie
- Ability to work with critically ill and medically challenged patients

- No more than 3 days off during assignment
- Weekend and holiday shifts required; includes one holiday per schedule period
