Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, Night shifts (4x12 or 3x12s), 7:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a 38-bed orthopedic unit within an acute care hospital.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and manage IV therapy, including PICC lines and starting IVs.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records (Cerner preferred).
• Float within scope to other Med Surg departments as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid and active Illinois nursing license.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with telemetry and IV therapy/PICC line management.
• Ability to work nights, including every third weekend.
• Certification in phlebotomy and IV therapy skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Telemetry experience highly preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system.
