Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Moses Lake, WA Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Monitor fetal well-being and maternal health, utilizing advanced fetal monitoring techniques.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, obstetricians, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform patient education on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks to team members as a Charge Nurse when applicable.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA or equivalent).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required prior to working in Mother Baby Unit.
• Valid Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced) within 3 months of completing orientation.
• Ability to perform assessments, prioritize patient needs, and demonstrate critical thinking.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Minimum one year of acute care RN experience preferred.
• OB and Mother Baby Unit certification (RN-C) preferred.
• Prior experience with fetal monitoring and labor and delivery best practices.
