Travel, Night shifts, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients on a behavioral health unit
- Administer medications and perform assessments to monitor patient progress
- Document care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Perform routine procedures including blood glucose checks and dressing changes as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience
- Current BLS and CPI certifications
- Active RN license in the state of Indiana or applicable state licensure
- Strong assessment and medication administration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with medical/surgical units is a plus
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outgoing and hardworking personality fit for a behavioral health setting
