Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to rehabilitation patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor and manage patients with acute rehabilitation needs, including post-cardiac surgery, neurological conditions, and mobility issues
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and utilize advanced wound and vascular care techniques
• Educate patients and families on medication, device management, and safety precautions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient recovery and safety
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Kansas or pending license acceptance
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, including inpatient rehab preferred
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Ability to handle acute and complex cases with a focus on patient safety and quality care

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation hospitals or units
• Knowledge of infusion therapy, IV insertion, blood administration, and catheter care
• Familiarity with respiratory care, wound management, and neuro-monitoring procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling needs

Additional Details:

• All shifts; 4 weekend shifts per scheduled period; holiday availability required
• Typical schedule guarantees 3 shifts per 13 weeks, with potential for scheduled variation
• Must meet local radius rule (home address at least 75 miles from the facility)
• Scrub color: Navy blue; charting done in EPIC
• Special requirements include experience with adult inpatient rehab and the ability to work within assigned service line and facilities
