Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Bemidji, MN
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, rotating shifts (day, evening, night); every other to every third weekend; 12-hour shifts; no call required; floating to multiple units/departments as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients in a busy 15-bed ED setting.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process within the continuum of care.
• Utilize hospital equipment and electronic health records (EPIC, Accudose) effectively; training provided.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure patient safety and achieve desired outcomes.
• Respond to urgent and emergent health situations, including trauma level III or higher cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient responses and interventions in compliance with hospital policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent ER experience in a high-volume facility (annual visits around 28,000 or higher).
• Active MN RN license at the time of submission.
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and TNCC certifications.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Experience working in trauma or emergency settings preferred.
• Must badge in and out at the facility and wear navy blue scrubs.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Trauma level III or higher experience.
• PALS certification is a plus.
• Prior work experience with Sanford Health (must have an end date at least 6 months prior to application).
