Full-time, rotating shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients with cardiopulmonary disorders across NICU, PICU, and adult ICU units.
- Perform therapeutic interventions, including blood gas analysis, lung capacity measurements, and equipment management.
- Administer treatments using specialized respiratory equipment and ensure proper documentation within electronic health records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health, self-management, and preventative care.
- Participate in shift rotations, including weekends and holidays, with potential to work additional shifts or float to other units as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist in NICU, PICU, or adult ICU.
- Current BLS certification (AHA).
- State licensure in North Dakota or willingness to apply within 72 hours of offer acceptance.
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential highly preferred.
- Additional certifications such as NRP and PALS are highly preferred.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, handle patient emergencies, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience with NICU, PICU, or adult ICU patient populations.
- Familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment and electronic charting systems such as Epic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining flexibility to float between units and locations.
