Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse patient population, including adults, adolescents, and geriatrics in a Level I Trauma Center.
- Monitor and manage patients with invasive monitoring, including ICP, and those requiring artificial airways, transfusions, and vasoactive medications.
- Assess and stabilize surgical patients recovering from neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant procedures.
- Administer blood products, start IVs, manage IV vasopressors, and recognize/manage dysrhythmias.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient patient recovery, documentation, and adherence to protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in Missouri or ability to obtain pending license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Critical care experience, including post-operative recovery, ventilated patients, invasive monitoring, and blood product administration.
- Experience in an inpatient, Level I Trauma Center setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or similar acute care environment.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity setting with a diverse patient demographic.
