Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients with renal and limb preservation conditions, including ESRD, ARF, vascular procedures, CHF, diabetes, and diabetic foot ulcers
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, including dysrhythmias, and manage related patient care
• Administer treatments, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, in coordination with interdisciplinary team members
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health records and assist with patient assessments and education
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards in a fast-paced inpatient setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including telemetry proficiency
• Valid BCLS certification
• Experience working with renal and limb preservation patients is preferred
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac events
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts in a self-scheduling environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS and NIH certifications are a plus
• Prior experience in a telemetry or cardiovascular unit preferred

Additional Details

• Duration: Contracts for 16–17 weeks, offering 36 or 48 hours/week (overtime after 48 hours for 48-hour shifts)
• Float staff required; every-other weekend commitment
• Unit uses Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems
• Orientation includes 24 hours of training with preceptor and EMR education
• Scrubs not provided; navy or white uniforms preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
