Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care and treatments to patients, including oxygen therapy, medication administration, and ventilator management.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as ABGs, pulmonary function tests, EKGs, and pulse oximetry.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and modify care plans, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure safety standards compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, assessments, and patient progress.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care, or eligible.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the State of Massachusetts.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications obtained within six months of hire.
• Minimum of prior respiratory therapy experience.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with healthcare documentation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with mechanical ventilator setup and management, including BIPAP and CPAP units.
• Knowledge of hospital VAP bundle protocols and infection control standards.
• Ability to perform advanced pulmonary diagnostics and interventions.
