Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to IMC, PCU, and stepdown unit patients in a 304-bed acute care hospital
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, ensuring adherence to safety and medical protocols
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately using Epic electronic health record system
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Float within scope to other units or sister facilities as needed to meet patient care demands
- Adhere to patient ratios of 1:4 and accommodate unit needs, including optional block scheduling with manager approval
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina or multi-state/compact license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in acute care settings
- BLS and ACLS certifications, NIHSS preferred
- Epic electronic charting experience required
- Ability to work 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shifts, including every other weekend as required
- Willingness to float within scope as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:4
- Ability to work in a dynamic hospital environment requiring flexibility and teamwork
