Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in open heart surgeries, including complex procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and thoracic cases.
- Scrub in during cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile protocols.
- Respond promptly to call requirements, maintaining a 30-minute response time.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to support ECMO, LVAD, and Impella cases as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all certification requirements, including ACLS and BLS.
- Review and maintain all pre-procedure and post-procedure documentation accurately.
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of North Carolina.
- Experience with open heart surgeries and ability to scrub in during complex cases.
- Knowledge of ECMO, LVAD, and Impella procedures.
- Certification in ACLS and BLS.
- Ability to work flexible 4x10-hour day shifts.
- Must be aware of and prepared for Pass/Fail EKG exam requirement.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Prior experience in cardiovascular operating rooms (CVOR).
- Robotic experience in thoracic procedures.
- Experience with robotic-assisted chest surgeries.
- No first-time travelers unless candidate has direct open heart or CVOR experience.
