Full-time, Nights (3x12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac telemetry patients, including titrating drips and managing post-cardiac cath patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including lethal rhythms, and pass an EKG exam with a score of 80% or higher during orientation.
• Float across various units as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner charting system.
• Adhere to hospital protocols for cardiac and stroke patients, including maintaining required certifications and CEUs.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri RN license or compact license.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent true telemetry experience, including cardiac monitoring, titrating drips, and working with sheaths.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA); NIHSS and TNCC preferred.
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system.
• Ability to pass an orientation EKG exam focused on lethal rhythms with a score of 80% or higher.
• Willingness to float between units and care for COVID-positive patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in a float pool or multiple units.
• Prior experience with cardiac catheterization procedures and post-procedure care.
• Knowledge of sheaths, invasive procedures, and medication titration protocols.
