Registered Nurse PACU
Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Asheville, NC
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide postoperative care to patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) following surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall recovery process, ensuring timely interventions as needed.
- Manage clinical documentation using electronic medical records (Cerner system).
- Collaborate with surgical teams and maintain patient safety standards.
- Administer medications, perform procedures such as lab draws and catheterizations, and assist with patient transport.
- Adhere to unit-specific policies, dress codes, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant PACU or perioperative nursing experience.
- Experience with ventilator monitoring and stroke scale assessments.
- Knowledge of unit-specific equipment and procedures.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Trauma patient experience.
- Pediatric patient care experience.
- Comfort with advanced nursing procedures and equipment.

Note: This is a 13-week travel assignment starting October 6, 2025, with shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. Candidates must be available for call shifts and floating within peri-anesthesia units.
