Key Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative care to surgery patients, ensuring their readiness for procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess their condition prior to anesthesia.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth preoperative processes and patient safety.
- Document patient information accurately and in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients awaiting surgery.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a specialized perioperative setting, particularly in PreOp.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
- Experience in Neuro and Thoracic surgery units is required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working during high-volume holiday seasons and managing holiday staffing requirements.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment during peak times.

Additional Notes
Schedule: Day shifts, working 16-week assignments.
Holiday Expectations: Staff are required to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and one minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve).
