Registered Nurse PACU
Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: York, ME
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in the PACU/ASU setting.
- Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition, ensuring stability and safety during recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to implement care plans and respond to patient needs promptly.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in medical records.
- Participate in weekend call rotations as part of the scheduled coverage.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an ASU/PACU/unit setting.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience working in a hospital operating room or recovery unit.
- Strong critical thinking and patient monitoring skills.
