Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab environment, utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking.
• Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and execute treatment interventions in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities in accordance with healthcare standards and legal requirements.
• Educate patients and their families, supporting understanding of procedures, care plans, and health education.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives and support system-wide quality and safety objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Valid Illinois RN licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in critical care.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience in cardiovascular intervention or related specialty preferred.
• Successful completion of an EKG test prior to orientation completion.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Cardiac Cath Lab or electrophysiology (EP) experience.
• Strong critical thinking and patient safety skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
