Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for telemetry patients in a busy hospital setting.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac vital signs and arrhythmias, responding promptly to changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience in a large, teaching hospital.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Valid RN license and appropriate state licensure.
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; NIHSS required prior to start.
• Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory.
• Experience working in a facility with comprehensive documentation requirements.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong ability to manage multiple complex patients.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, academic medical environment.
