Schedule / Job Type: Rotating
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to hemodynamically stable and predictably unstable patients on a medical/surgical unit.
- Monitor and operate advanced medical equipment, including central lines, chest tubes, arterial lines, and ventilatory support devices.
- Assess patient conditions, recognize signs of deterioration, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and discharge planning.
- Act as a clinical leader, precepting and supporting less experienced staff.
- Assist with patient education and provide emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients and their families.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Montana RN licensure.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Experience in medical/surgical and critical care or progressive care nursing.
- Ability to operate advanced medical equipment, including invasive lines and ventilators.
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to manage complex patient cases independently.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Pediatric nursing experience.
- Certifications such as TNCC or EPNC.
- Knowledge of basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation.
