Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population with conditions such as COPD, Diabetes, CHF, renal disease, GI issues, infections, neurological, and mental health disorders.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy and infusions, and utilize medical equipment including IV pumps, wound vacs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and telemetry monitors.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health records, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Assist with procedures such as colonoscopies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, bronchoscopy, minor surgeries, and others as required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana or a compact state.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience in a Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary care facility.
• At least 1 year of recent experience in a hospital with 600+ beds.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system and hospital equipment such as Pyxis, Hospira IV pumps, SCDs, and others.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating to medical-surgical units in large hospital settings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt across multiple medical units.

Warnings

• Shifts are 12 hours, with three weekend shifts required every four weeks.
• Floating to other medical surgical units expected as needed.
• Uniform dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs.
