Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across all OB (labor/delivery, postpartum, nursery) areas, with cross-training preferred.
• Assist with procedures including C-sections in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Educate and support patients on breastfeeding and postpartum care.
• Utilize equipment such as Epic, Stork, and Pyxis for charting, medication administration, and other unit functions.
• Maintain sterile techniques and assist in surgical activities as needed.
• Support the team through flexible scheduling, including weekends and occasional call duties.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of Illinois.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an OB nurse.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical assistance preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records.
• Ability to assist with surgical procedures, including C-sections.
• Comfort with floating to other units for patient sitting and RN tasks without primary patient assignments.
