Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain comprehensive obstetrical, medical, surgical, and family histories from patients.
• Perform focused obstetrical assessments and monitor fetal well-being.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with sonographers and healthcare providers.
• Conduct blood draws and administer injections as needed.
• Provide patient education and resources related to OB/GYN care.
• Utilize ultrasound equipment, fetal monitors, and electronic charting systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Illinois Nursing license.
• BLS certification.
• EFM (External Fetal Monitoring) training.
• Minimum of 2 years obstetric nursing experience.
• Proficiency in interpretation of obstetric diagnostics and fetal monitoring.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Advanced understanding of obstetric patient care.
• Experience working with ultrasound and fetal monitoring equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Schedule:

• Days, 5 eight-hour shifts per week, starting between 0730 and 0800.
• Rotation includes weekends and holidays.
• Floating to other units/departments as needed.

Unit Details:

• 8 ultrasound exam rooms.
• Staffing ratio of 4-6 RNs daily depending on patient load.
• Average maternal-fetal patient caseload of 40 per day.

Dress Code:

• Scrub attire, no specific color requirement.

Orientation:

• 2-3 weeks of department-specific training and orientation.
