Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain comprehensive obstetrical, medical, surgical, and family histories from patients.
- Perform focused obstetrical assessments and monitor fetal well-being.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with sonographers and healthcare providers.
- Conduct blood draws and administer injections as needed.
- Provide patient education and resources related to OB/GYN care.
- Utilize ultrasound equipment, fetal monitors, and electronic charting systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Illinois Nursing license.
- BLS certification.
- EFM (External Fetal Monitoring) training.
- Minimum of 2 years obstetric nursing experience.
- Proficiency in interpretation of obstetric diagnostics and fetal monitoring.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Advanced understanding of obstetric patient care.
- Experience working with ultrasound and fetal monitoring equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Schedule:
- Days, 5 eight-hour shifts per week, starting between 0730 and 0800.
- Rotation includes weekends and holidays.
- Floating to other units/departments as needed.
Unit Details:
- 8 ultrasound exam rooms.
- Staffing ratio of 4-6 RNs daily depending on patient load.
- Average maternal-fetal patient caseload of 40 per day.
Dress Code:
- Scrub attire, no specific color requirement.
Orientation:
- 2-3 weeks of department-specific training and orientation.
