Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetrics patients, including labor, delivery, and postpartum support.
- Perform OB-focused assessments, including cervical checks and fetal monitoring.
- Assist with patient exams, specimen collection, and medication administration.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as EPIC and OBIX for documentation and medication systems like Pyxis.
- Apply specialized skills such as scalp electrode placement and interpretation of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery or obstetrics.
- Current licenses and certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
- Proficiency in completing electronic fetal monitoring and obstetric assessments.
- Ability to perform cervical checks and baby care effectively.
- Experience with OB equipment, such as scalp electrodes.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience working in a high-acuity OB unit.
- Strong knowledge of obstetric procedures and protocols.
