Registered Nurse - ICU

Schedule / Job Type:
Nights, 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care in the ICU, including managing critically ill patients with conditions such as stroke and STEMI.
• Administer advanced interventions including Impella and balloon pump support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Float between ICU and Telemetry units as needed to meet staffing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Missouri or Compact State nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, preferably in a Level 1 center.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Certification.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, with Meditech experience strongly preferred or ability to quickly learn.
• Experience managing complex cardiac cases, including Impella and balloon pump procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience in stroke care and STEMI management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Comfort with night shift scheduling and flexible block hours.
