Registered Nurse - PICU

Full-time, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care for pediatric patients aged 3 days to 18 years, including those with common childhood illnesses, respiratory issues, traumas, and specialized cases such as cardiac or poisoning situations.
• Utilize equipment such as EPIC electronic charting system and Pyxis medication management.
• Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
• Adhere to pediatric care protocols within a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and general pediatric units.
• Support patient families and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric and PICU nursing experience.
• Valid RN licensure in Indiana (or compact state license).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Strong IV skills are a plus.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in a large, high-acuity facility with 400+ beds and Level 2 trauma designation.
• Prior experience floating to units such as NICU.
• Familiarity with pediatric surgical and trauma cases.
