Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations and peripheral cases.
• Monitor patients continuously for procedural stability and respond to emergent conditions.
• Administer medications and manage patient vasculature during procedures.
• Collaborate with a team of at least three healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotation approximately 6-7 times per month, including weekends every six weeks.
• Assist with procedures such as pericardiocentesis, temporary pacemaker placement, and STEMI activation.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of critical care or catheterization lab experience.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with hospital electronic medical records systems such as EPIC and McKesson.
• Ability to float to other units/departments as needed; no floating outside designated departments.
• Knowledge of medication administration and patient monitoring protocols in a cardiac cath lab setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience working in a cardiac catheterization lab or electrophysiology (EP) unit.
• Familiarity with the use of Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
