Tech Surgical

Job Title: Tech - Surgical
Location: Aberdeen, WA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 13-week contract, rotating shifts (primarily day shifts with on-call hours)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the Operating Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Day Surgery areas.
• Assist with preparation and sterilization of surgical equipment and supplies.
• Maintain sterile and sanitary environments by adhering to department cleaning procedures.
• Support departmental clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
• Follow departmental policies and assist staff during surgical procedures and patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Current certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST).
• WA state license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year hospital surgical experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist course or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instrument handling.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, pull 50 pounds from stretcher to bed, push 50-pound stretchers, and lift 5 pounds overhead.
• Ability to work efficiently under stressful conditions and collaborate with physicians.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience working in a hospital surgical setting.
• Familiarity with various surgical procedures and equipment.
