Job Title: Surgical Tech

Location: Charleston, SC

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, with holiday rotation and one weekend shift every four weeks. On-call required up to four shifts per four-week period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist in surgical procedures across a variety of specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, robotics, transplants, trauma, and gynecology.
• Maintain sterile environment and ensure safety protocols are followed during OR activities.
• Float within scope to support different units or facilities as needed; adapt to various case types and surgical teams.
• Manage equipment and supplies efficiently, adhering to facility standards.
• Collaborate with nursing and surgical staff to ensure smooth operative workflows.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years surgical technology experience.
• Certification: NBSTSA (NCCT not accepted).
• Current BLS certification.
• Radiation badge obtained through agency prior to deployment.
• Ability to work in a Level 1 Trauma Center and handle various case types.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including one weekend shift every month and on-call duties.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with neuro (spine, craniotomy), ENT (flaps), and robotic surgeries (DaVinci Xi).
• Familiarity with complex surgical procedures such as transplants, trauma, burns, GU, and GYN surgeries.
• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or Magnet-designated facility.
