Job Title: Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Stepdown units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, especially those on stable chronic ventilators, and respond to changes as needed.
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC electronic health records.
• Follow targeted patient ratios of 1:4, with flexibility up to 1:5-6, ensuring quality care.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding holidays and weekend shifts, including working every other holiday if scheduled.
• Comply with safety protocols, including fitting for N95 respirators and practicing proper infection control procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or applicable state.
• EPIC electronic health record system experience.
• Experience with stable chronic ventilators.
• Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before assignment start.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
• IV start experience preferred.
• At least 1.5 years of RN clinical experience; experience in a level 1 or 2 trauma or critical care setting preferred.
• Ability to work 36 or 48 hours per week; for 48-hour shifts, overtime paid after 48 hours.
• Willingness to float within designated units as assigned, including various campuses within the facility.
• Candidate must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Prior float and mobility across different units or campuses.
• PAPR breathing equipment available or willingness to be fitted for N95 masks.

Additional Details:

• Traveler will be the first to float at management's discretion, supporting various units within the facility.
• Office is located at 1 Wyoming Street, Dayton, OH 45409.
• RTO requests must be included with initial application; no RTO will be added after an offer.
• Premier Health reserves the right to cancel shifts or the entire contract with notice, and travelers are not eligible for employee incentives.
