Job Title: Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location: Dayton, OH

Schedule / Job Type: 13-week contract, Night shifts, Travel / Temporary

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care in the Intermediate Care (IMC), Progressive Care (PCU), or Stepdown unit, with a focus on cardiac patients.
• Monitor and interpret EKG strips, draw ABGs, and administer cardiac medications and IV drips, including Cardizem, Cardene, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, nitro, and insulin.
• Collaborate within a team nursing model to support patient care, ensuring appropriate patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6.
• Perform cardiac procedures such as catheterizations, ablations, and pacemaker/ICD management.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system and demonstrate proficiency with telemetry and tele-monitoring.
• Adhere to safety protocols including fitting for N95 masks and passing online competency assessments.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU or Level 1/2 PCU experience with documented 1:5 ratio experience.
• Cardiac or telemetry certification with experience reading and interpreting strips.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Must have EPIC EMR experience.
• Ability to draw ABGs and perform related procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Travel nursing experience.
• Previous experience floating between units and working in high-acuity settings.
• Experience with team or primary nursing models.
• PAPR fit testing availability is a plus.

• Assignment may involve floating to various units, including COVID-related support.
