Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients across all age groups, including neonates to geriatrics.
• Administer medications, including IVs, vasopressors, and sedation, following prescribed protocols.
• Assess patient conditions, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage abnormal heart rhythms.
• Support behavioral health management, including crisis intervention, managing violent behavior, and psychiatric holds.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams utilizing SBAR communication system to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using MediTech and adhere to infection control and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active and current RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department or psychiatric nursing experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system and Omnicell medication system.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage complex patient scenarios.
• Knowledge of infection control, respiratory protocols, and behavioral health procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a community hospital setting.
• Familiarity with pediatric and adult emergency and psychiatric care.
• Certification or training in stroke management and behavioral health interventions.
