Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location: Asheville, NC

Schedule / Job Type: Nights, Temp-to-Hire, Travel

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Stepdown units.
• Monitor and manage patients with hemodynamic instability, ventilators, and advanced IV therapies.
• Assist providers with bedside procedures such as intubations and chest tube insertions.
• Document patient care accurately within the Cerner system and perform bedside shift reports.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced nurses in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort through vigilant observation and adherence to clinical protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or stepdown nursing experience in a large facility.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS.
• Proficiency in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care pharmacology.
• Ability to perform bedside procedures and utilize advanced monitoring equipment.
• Strong critical thinking skills, flexibility, and teamwork orientation.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and central line management.
• Familiarity with advanced equipment such as TTM, IV pumps, and ventilators.
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus.
