Schedule / Job Type:
13-week travel assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a busy hospital unit
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products following proper protocols
- Monitor patient conditions, document accurately in EMR, and respond swiftly to changes
- Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and wound care procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications:
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or current multi-state license
- Minimum of 2 years recent hospital experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Experience with IV pumps, PCA, blood administration, and specimen collection
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR system
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Surgical nursing experience
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
- Experience working in a hospital with high standards of patient safety and infection control
