Schedule / Job Type: Days, Full-time, Contract, Onsite
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) surgical procedures, specializing in cardiac cases.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and universal protocols, including timeout procedures.
• Operate sterilization and disinfection processes, handle specimens accurately, and maintain safety protocols such as radiation, laser, and fire safety.
• Support the surgical team as a scrub technician, proficient in specialized CVOR skills and cardiac case requirements.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including specimen labeling and handling.

Required Qualifications:

• Verification of a technical diploma from formal CST training (no exceptions; high school diploma, CST certification, or unrelated college diploma does not fulfill this requirement).
• NBSTSA certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR surgical technologist experience.
• Ability to work the scheduled shift hours from 0600 to 1430, including every third weekend rotation.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Proficiency in cardiac surgery procedures.
• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and universal protocols.
